This net meets every Tuesday during the 24-hour window of 0000-2400 CST. Check in by sending a Winlink message with the following in the message body:
Send check ins to Digital Net Control Station (DNCS) , with a copy to our Backup DNCS (BDNCS), . (If the DNCS station goes down for any reason, the BDNCS station will pick up the net.)
This provides “Winlinkers” with a method for a weekly test of both the sending and receiving capability of their stations.
All check ins are acknowledged via a return message, and a complete list of check ins for a given week are sent to all on the list on Wednesday.
All “Winlinkers” are welcome to check in – no need to be a member of WI ARES/RACES. We even have several regular participants from other states. Typically there are about 30 check ins each week.
A reminder of the upcoming net is sent each Monday morning. Short exercises or queries are sent about once a month with the reminder and the results are shared with all on Wednesday with the check in summary. Info bulletins or queries are sent anytime.
